LECTIO FOR ADVENT

Wednesday, December 4 - Friday, December 6, 2019

Scripture accompanied by art, music, poetry of the Advent season will support our preparation for the coming of Christ once again into our world and our lives. We will explore the four movements of Advent and Christmas- the Annunciation, the Visitation, the Nativity, and the Coming of the Magi and Flight to Egypt--using the deep spiritual (and very Benedictine) practice of Lectio Divina and its complementary forms, Visio and Audio Divina. Time will be allowed for reflection, journaling, prayer, silence, and small and large group sharing.

Dr. Laura Dunham, former academic, retired Presbyterian minister, and Catholic convert in 2012, is an oblate of St. Benedict's Monastery in MN.
